Speaking of the weather............. Hot like Hell up here...... Yesterday we set a record with 38c as a temperature.... Now.... They are forecasting even hotter for today and Sunday.... Good thing we have air-conditioning in the living room.. At least we can keep cool.. the window unit seems to cool off the whole house which makes it very pleasant...Small house anyway..
We have intermittent thunderstorms and sun today... annoying because hubs got someone coming to see the car he's trying to sell, and it's out on the drive , so it's getting soaked, and mucky with the rain... Tomorrow will be the high 80's here..and Monday is forecast to be the low 90's... ..we have no AC... gotta rely on Fans, not ideal....
Its going to be a quiet week.. Yes, I have work to do in the field, but I just want a quiet week.. The work is mostly cleaning up fallen trees and mowing.. it will wait for me.. I want to spend time with my dear Princess just doing nothing.. Maybe go to the beach, go for a walk, out for coffee, or just plain doing nothing sitting on the patio.. A campfire would be lovely as well.. I can have one in my back yard in my fire pit anytime.. No shortage of wood...
Enjoy yourself Stve. My o/h had the day off yesterday and we visited a vintage air museum , and some beautiful gardens which are attched.. In the museum, which consists of 6 hangers... along with the planes, there's also a smattering of vintage vehicles... It was a glorious day... it's been about 10 years since we visited so we really enjoyed it again... I'll be adding lots of photos later, but here's just one... It's gonna be 90 deg here today.. already very hot now at just after 10am.... not even a white wisp of cloud!! Hubs is back at work, so I'll be making the most of today that I can.....
Wow !!! What great picture.. Love the crank to start the car.. Beware of your thumb when cranking.. It goes on top not on the bottom of the handle.. I do hope those bombs attached to the wing are fake... Looking forward to seeing more pictures.... Looks like an awesome place... Glad you were able to spend some good time with your Hubby... Its important !!!
Thanks Steve, I'll let you know wheI put many more on the photo thread... Oh yes hubs and I spend a lot of time together.. we make a point of taking time to just go and chill, and relax. he has a very stressful job , with long hours so a relaxing day off for him might be doing something on his car, or both of us in the garden, or going out for the day, or couple of days.. or spending time on vacation as we did last month in Spain..
Good for you... its lovely to spend time with our mates.. I am with my wife 24/7.. 366 days a year for the past 29 years.. Believe it or not, we have NEVER had a fight..... EVER... Never been mad at each other.. Never had an argument... We have had discussions, but it never went into an argument... Even when we were in business together for several years....
DH and I never agreed on anything. We didn't argue but it sure made for some lively discussions. I had a first last weekend when we were fishing. I caught a snake. I'm pretty sure that that is the first time in history that a fisherperson landed a snake. I think it was a water moccasin but I'm not sure. My son said I could tell if it was by it's eyes. If the pupils were round, it was harmless water snake. If the pupils were slits, it was an extremely dangerous water moccasin. I told him that I didn't want to know badly enough to examine it's eyes. I was fishing off a small pier and saw it swimming toward the pier. I was hoping that it would turn aside but it came straight toward me. I didn't like it's attitude. I cast my bait toward it to scare it away and snagged it. My other son was at the campground with us and he helped me land it. Somebody got a shovel and he cut it's head off.
OMG Shirley...wow!!! I'd have been off running long before..... I think you're a true fisher woman..boots, rod and all... no fear !!
Here you are Steve as promised... some of the museum pictures are posted here... more yet to come https://www.seniorsonly.club/thread...er-vehicles-pics-i-took-a-few-days-ago.13444/
