We had a good weekend. We went to a friend's camper at South Creek. We had to leave yesterday so that my son and the owners of the campers could pull the campers out before Dorian hits down there.
Steve, they are trout, puppy drum, one flounder and one little ol' croaker. The one I'm holding up is the biggest one I caught. It's a 17 ¾ inch trout. You can just call me the Mighty Fisherwoman.
WoW!! that's a mighty trout Shirley.... We have trout fishing just a few minutes from my house, but we never go fishing!!
Where I live, we fish mostly for pike, musky, bass, and walleye.. There are other kinds of fish like lake trout, white fish, perch, and many more but the most popular are as above...
In the past few years, I gave up fishing because I sold my boat and I sold my truck to haul the boat... Nowadays if I want fish, I get it at the supermarket..
That's the cheapest way to do it, Steve. By the time you buy bait, gas, artificial baits, sinkers, leaders and all that stuff, catching fish is very expensive. But it's a lot of fun when you land the big one.
As far as landing the BIG one, Musky at the 48 to 52 inch mark isn't a small fish... Remember, that is a fresh water fish... Much easier, cheaper, and more convenient buying from the supermarket.. I just can't go out fishing like I used to ......
I doubt very much if I could even land a 48-52 inch Musky. I had no idea that cameras cost as much as they do. Wow! I wound up buying a used Nikon on eBay. It is supposed to get here Monday. The new ones had Wi-Fi and a lot of other things I don't need. I certainly don't want every picture I take sent to God-only-knows where the second I take it. My Kindle sends them to the Cloud but presumably only I can access them..... I hope.
My Cannon seems to be OK.... It has so many different options that I will never use.. all I want is a camera to take pictures and transfer them on the computer...
Exactly, but I still wanted to try out the different options.. On auto is the simplest of all.... Video is also pretty simple....
My Nikon camera was delivered yesterday. It's a nice camera. It is similar in some ways to my old one but has more options. It has 42 zoom (Whatever that means). My old one didn't have nearly that much. I think it had 16. There is a man down at the river who feeds his deer every night just before dark. I have soooo wanted to take good pictures of him and his deer but it was so far that I couldn't. Maybe with this camera I can zoom in and get some good ones. Right now, I'm still learning.
