I took a picture of My Last Rose of Summer this morning. I think I have the size set small enough to post it here without resizing it. I'm going to try in and see. Hey! It worked! Now I won't have to resize every picture I want to post here.
It might be your last rose of summer, but it is still looking good.. We up here have regained some nice weather.. After a bruiser frost that ruined all plants, it is now back to warmer weather and sunny.. Yesterday it was 28c which is 82f and sunny.. Much of the same all week... Totally crazy weather...
Today is wonderful. It's cool and the humidity is way down. Did I tell y'all that I love fall? Won't be long before the distant smell of burning leaves will be on the air.
The leaves have already started falling up here.. Especially the birch trees.. I have had a few campfires but I don't burn leaves... I let them dry on the grass and then I go over them with my rider mower and mulch them.. Some of the leaves on my maple trees have turned bright red.. My wife's seldom plants are dark red..
I did that just yesterday..mowed up the leaves on the back lawn. I can't be doing with all that raking. It's still gloriously sunny and warm here, but I did notice the other day that some of the trees in the woods near my house are starting to turn colour...
Holly, when the trees are in full colo(u)r, take some pictures to share. Steve, you take some pictures to share, too. I'd love to see your red maple leaves.
They have not turned yet.. Bit too early.. Just a few branches have turned.. I don't have many maple trees, just a few, but I will take some pics when the time comes which should be about another month or so...
Actually, it will give me a chance to try out the camera outside....... I have a Cannon SX160 IS with 16X optical zoom ... Just got it... good opportunity to learn.. Looking forward to trying it out...
I have been taking pictures ... I will try to post the latest picture of Annmarie I took last week at her birthday... I have been trying to post her picture on here but I can't seem to be able to do it.. I will keep on trying different methods till I get it...
OK............ I took pictures with the camera.. I downloaded them unto my computer and I put them in a file on my desktop called .... pictures.. Now, I want to put a picture on here.. I open up a post, go to "upload a file", go to the picture file, open it, and then double click on the picture.... Nothing happens.. I right click and then click on "copy" and go back on here and open up "edit" and click on paste.. No good as paste isn't activated.. Question...?????? What am I doing wrong ???? I would like to post on here some pictures I took that are on my desktop in a file..
@Steve North As I understand it, images downloaded to your computer have no associated URL to refer to, and thus cannot be copied and pasted to the forum. I use www.servimg.com to process my computer images. They assign them a URL which will transfer to the forum. Frank
After the point where you have clicked to choose a picture from your computer, it should appear as a small image, just below the box where you would write your post. Click 'Full Image' and the picture should appear in your post... like this.. So it would be: Upload a file - highlight a picture from your picture folder - click Open, to the right of the file name - see the small image below the 'Posting' box on the forum and choose Full Image... or delete if it's the wrong picture.
