That is weird about the car, Steve. I wonder if it has happened to other cars like yours? Maybe you should ask the dealer. They should know. You and Annmarie absolutely don't need to be stranded in the middle in the snow with freezing temperatures.
According to the KIA dealer, they want to see the car when the light is on otherwise there isn't anything they can do... Remember, it is rather a new car ..... It is still under warranty but that won't help me if we get stranded in the middle of nowhere.. I don't own a cell phone which means I can't call for help if it happens again.. I was told, although the car will only go about 35 or 40kms, keep on driving it till I get to a phone for help to call for a towing... They cannot tell me if it has happened to other cars till they know what the problem is.. Not very pleasant knowing I bought a car that was supposed to be reliable and safe.....
No way, if the car is not fit for purpose and it's still under warranty then reject the car in writing. You cannot afford to wait until the light comes on for them to check it at the dealers, by which time the warranty may have expired. Steve, I'm going to say, "Take it to the dealer." They should be able to hook it to their computer and tell what the problem is. The least they can do is try.
You guys are 100% correct including my wife and my daughter.. You all maintain I should not let this go by without having it looked into.. I bought this car because it was supposed to be a good one with a good warranty, and I paid for it with good money, so why not get a good car.. The dealer will be contacted today and the car will be brought into the dealer as soon as possible.. Now, the KIA dealer is in Sudbury which is about a 90 minute drive from my house.. They do have a loaner they will give me while they figure out what is going on with my new car..
Well..... Just to keep you informed..... We are going to Sudbury next Wednesday and I will be dropping off my car for them to do something.. A loaner is waiting for me.. I now have the snow tires on and the oil has been changed.. Winter wiper blades are installed.. Winter floor mats are installed.. In other words, I'm good for winter.. LET IT SNOW !!! This morning the driveway was again cleared as we got 15cms overnight..
today (Friday) was a do nothing day.. I didn't go out of the house, slept in late, cooked a nice supper, and just relaxed.. tomorrow might be a similar day... Just do nothing ...
Steve, how is Annmarie? I hope she is better. Good for you getting the car winter ready. It wasn't snowing here today but if the temperature had fallen a little bit more, it would have. It was cold and windy! We went to Ollie's and I bought some cinnamon spice scented candles. I love burning them in the winter. It makes the house smell good and they look so cheerful. Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Ho ho ho!
Annmarie is getting better.. She has asthma and it is giving her a bad time.. She is taking her puffer and that is about all we can do.. No other medication was suggested.. Lots of rest and lots of liquids is what she is doing... Time will heal... I also have a bit of a cold but nothing like her...
I feel for her Steve, because this last week my asthma has been playing up quite badly, so it's very distressing when that happens.. I've had to take my preventer as well as the reliever on many more days than usual.. Good to hear she's getting better... ..hope you both get better soon
Holly, I hope you feel better soon, too. Any idea what is causing it to play up? I'm going to have to buy a new mouse. This one keeps going bonkers. It might totally quit any minute. I'll probably buy one tomorrow.

I feel it could be the weather change.. it is fall and there is loads of pollen in the air.. The weather doesn't help either.. Cold and damp.. As soon as the snow came, we started to feel better but it takes a while to feel good again.. Remember.... you get sick in a flash but it takes a long time to heal...
Ain't that the truth..? Pollen isn't a problem for me, so I don't know what's been causing me to have breathing problems of late. Stress maybe... !! Not been so bad the last couple of days tho'...
