We didn’t see him yesterday maybe because it was very chilly and we had the front and back doors closed We are going out there next Tuesday again
It has been so unseasonably cool here that I have had to put on my long sleeve blouse and long pants. We had torrential rain with thunder and lightening last night. My son said that there was six inches of rain in his rain gage this morning. The ground was already soaked from the rain we have had in the last few days. There is a lot of flooding. If you go to WRAL-TV, you can see some of it.
We would never get rain like that ,we get excited if we get an inch of rain .. I watch American pickers on TV 6 nights a week, we get a good idea of the country side in like the US from the show ,I can’t get over how much room that have between homes and how many have huge barns full to,the brim with junk as well as yards full of old cars / buses / motor bikes
There are thicker areas and thinner areas. Down east of here, there are farms that have 1000 acres in one field. They grow corn, wheat and soybeans.
Morning all.. I mean evening all. we also had rain yesterday Shirley.. not heavy tho. Just sufficient to get the doggies saturated when they went out for their toilet.
We are getting nice lots of rain for the farmers ,think the biggest fall in one day would be about HALF an inch in your language Shirley however the land is very hard limestone so it soaks in fairly quickly The most rain I’ve experienced in my life in one downpour is about 1.5 inches The cereal crops are just coming up so I’ll walk about 300 meters from home and take a few photos maybe today cause it’s going to be 19 today and sunny ☀️... back to 13 tomorrow brrrrrrr
The next few days, we are in a heat spell.. Temperatures in the mid to high 30'sc... Sunny with NO chance of rain....
