What do you mean @Craig Wilson it’s very cool here this morning .. We had two thick blankets on the bed last nite and I had to put on my sheepskin slippers and warm dressing gown this morning after I got out from the nice warm blankets Think it’s forecast for a top of 23 c for Adelaide ..that’s about 20 c here ( 68f ) Remember ..this is almost MID summer temps here in Aust ,we’ve been known to have up to 47 c ( 116f) at this time of the year in S.A.
This morning it all changed Kate. A cold wind hit me in the face when I went out to bring in my newspaper. Weatherzone is saying that our alpine region had its first snow of the season last nite. Snow in mid summer are they for real. Climate change. You better believe it. @Kate Ellery
Then we will continue to provide it for you. We are interesting people we Aussies. Like to hear more about where you live too Louise.
i live in Tennessee.. A long narrow state . and Savannah, Tennessee. where i live ,,Snow is rare and not much ,if we get any snow... summers are stifling hot and winters are cold but never freezin cold.... if you go northwest of us, there is Memphis. high crime rate.!!. bad place to live.!!. We live about a 2 hour drive down from Memphis.. if you go East in Tenn. there is snow and beautiful snow covered Mountains in the winter, .. we also have lived in Louisianna and Maine and i'm from the state of Illinois. hubby is from Maine.. i say he is a mainiac!lol if you look at the map of United states you can see the many states that we boarder..
Kate, it looks like y'all had almost the same temperature we have had lately. Maybe we haven't been quite that warm but it was high 50s yesterday.
I to live in a fairly narrow strip of land ..it’s shaped like a boot..sorry that’s not a very clear imagine I live up,near the top part not down by the foot shape I believe it’s about 50 km from one side of the peninsula to the other and we have the pleasure of arctic winds in the winter @Craig Wilson
And that boot is shaped like the state of Louisianna ,, here in the USA..! only it faces the other way.. LOL
We have just came home from a beach walk ....a couple of photos I took with my phone the beach has cliffs and lotsa rocks But it has a nice sandy part to walk on ..take that photo tomorrow
Houses are not that expensive here ...come to Aust to live Shirley next to NO COVID here you can get a smallish home built in the estate where I live for about $400.000 including the land but there are not many blocks of land left where I’m, cause lots of homes and land sold like hot cakes during lockdown for some reason it appears some wanted to flee the cities , places were selling without anyone even looking at the property
OK I just took this photo from my front garden .....where you can see the tall Norfolk Island pine that’s the beach ( blue and gray roof homes are right on the cliff top ) Notice our very dry rainwater catchment I’ve posted photo of with water in them ..well no rain since then
