Done this once before, but came back. It's been nice and you folks are all nice, BUT have to be on forums where people talk primarily about: Power Boating, Firearms Owning/Shooting, Star Wars, Freshwater Fishing, Classic Rock and dogs ( Shih Tzu). I'll stop back, peak in to see what's happening, but think that will be it. I really can't think of any new Threads I'd want to do. For those wondering about the outcome of the whistling in my ear, will let you know in a few weeks. So, ladies and gentlemen, from the "Rocker" (former drummer), Good Luck and "Rock On".
Hope you don't leave because of me, I'm not feeling good.... Well whatever the reason....hope you find your perfect forum, although from my experience there isn't such a thing.
No Chrissy, not you. However, definitely hope your flu symptoms get better. Believe it or not, have already found some forums of interest to wife and I, like the ones I mentioned above. Ooops, just replied. Oh well, this was my Thread
Cody, while fairly new here I did enjoy reading a few of your topics. Maybe I should not bring this up but being on staff on another forum we always wonder why people choose to leave. Usually it is because of a squabble with a staff member.....your reason is truly unique but it does limit one. Personally I find a wider variety of topics is more to my liking. Hope you find a good fit and still pop in here also.
@Cody Fousnaugh , I'm sorry to see you leaving just as the others are. Our lives are totally different but, that's what makes this forum so interesting to me. We get to have a peek into so many kinds of comtrasting lifestyles. I've enjoyed your company many times, and I hope to see you again soon.
I'm glad you found some good forums for the both of you. I'm starting to tire of forums and except for a few, have no real friends here so maybe I'll go and wreck some havoc elsewhere. Ha ha.
@Cody Fousnaugh Enjoyed our sparring, Cody. Certainly thoughtful of you to announce your intentions as you did. When a member is away for a period of time, folks notice it, and speculate about the reason. Often illness, or worse, is suspected. We are, after all, old. Take good care, ya hear? Frank
You're more than welcome back whenever you like, @Cody Fousnaugh. Your account will be here waiting for you.
Whistling in my ear (continuation): Apparently, the PCP I seen on the 23rd of February, made my "whistling in the ear" situation worse than really is. At least that's what he put down on the Referral for testing w/an Audioologist and consultation w/a ENT MD. He wrote "STAT/URGENT and said I have no hearing in the left "whistling" ear. Well, that is basically wrong! I can hear out of the ear, thru the whistling. Not like the right ear, but I can darn sure hear. He also wrote that this has been an "ongoing problem". Don't know where he got that from either. Like a lot of people, I've encountered whistling in an ear, but it instantly went away when I squeezed my nose, shut my mouth and blew out. Anyway, I got set up for an appt. for hearing test and consulttation with an ENT MD in a week. Was going to make this doctor my Medicare PCP, but will now switch to the PCP my wife uses. At least he knows me. Just wanted to let those curious, know what's happening. In a few days I will be done with the Prednisone prescription I have. Thank God, because it is affecting my eyesight some.
@Cody Fousnaugh, it good to hear from you. Maybe that doctor put down that STAT/URGENT assessment to get you seen more quickly. To get you closer to the top of whatever list you end up on. I hope they can help you soon, it has to bee driving you up the wall. I hope you'll keep us informed.
@Cody Fousnaugh, I wish you all the best with the ENT specialist. Having had this problem for short periods of time, I can appreciate that it can be a problem, particularly when it doesn't go away.
Actually, there are people that have it much worse than I do. I would consider mine fairly mild, compared to some that I've read their Threads on a Tinnitus forum. Also, some have it in both ears.
@Cody Fousnaugh I do. For most of my adult life. I ignore it, and after years, became able to just "tune it out". Frank
