Hello. Currently living in Nashville,TN and Semi-retired. Moved here to get out of the cold and because I have a RC and Moon Pie addiction. Thanks for having me.
C'mon in and have a cup of coffee, Tim. We're out of RCs and moon pies but I'll put them on my shopping list. I really like the vanilla moon pies.
Welcome to the forum, Tim! I have a few questions....what is Nashvegas? Is RC a cola or a remote control car? Are moon pies those things with marshmallow and chocolate and I think graham cracker? Looking back I see Sheldon referenced RC as Something to drink, so never mind that question. I vaguely do remember RC Cola but haven't seen it in a very long time.
Thanks for the welcome. I grew up eating a Moon Pie and washing it down with a 16oz. 'bellybuster' RC cola. Both are going strong and they hold a 'RC and Moon Pie festival' in Bell Buckle, Tn. Good fun. NashVegas is just something the locals call Nashville due to the tourist who come to enjoy the clubs on Broadway Ave.
Thanks for the info, I've never been in the south and thought Country Music when I heard Nashville. Now I'll think Vegas also, been there a few times!
I'm just northwest of you, Tim in western KY. I too am no from this area originally, but also escaped from the cold of the northeast. I have some good friends in Nashville. I do not like Moon Pies. You may have my share.
Royal Crown Cola, when I was a kid, rarely noted as "RC", out-tasted Coke by a significant margin, as far as I was concerned! Frank
Hi Tim, Welcome to the forum. Moon pies and a cold RC Cola sound good to me. Grab a snack and sit for a spell, I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself here.
Wow, I didn't even know they still made RC Cola. Moon pies are still around though. Feeling a special mission coming on to look in the little store called Shamrock, for RC Cola, because they carry a wide variety of Nehi's.! Enjoy Nashvegas!
