My old VHS copy of "The Grapes of Wrath" finally began falling apart, so I ordered a DVD version from Amazon. Steinbeck's finest novel, in my opinion. Hal
I love Steinbeck. The books are great, and the movies made from the books ain't bad either. In high school, we were assigned one or two of Steinbeck's books, then I found as many of them as I could, and read them all. I still have them too, and with the benefit of being able to search online, one day I'll check and see if there is anything by him that I don't have. I didn't like The Pearl, and I didn't care much for his King Arthur book either.
I think "Of Mice and Men" is one of the two saddest books I ever read. I don't think I have read, "The Grapes of Wrath." I'm pretty sure I haven't seen the movie. Should I?
Of course, Little Lady! You can check the great array of prices of used copies on Amazon, some as low as $8.00! Hal
I liked some of Steinbeck's books, at least two of them, Grapes of Wrath which I read twice and Of Mice And Men. And I've seen the movies.
