I have had four different scheduled medical appointments cancelled in the past week due to some one in the doctors office getting sick. Two called me very early in the morning wanting me to change the time of that days appointment. What a mess this whole QVD19 thing has been in disrupting every ones life.

The lack of medical care for real problems is likely to kill more people than the virus. Dentists, eye doctors, and most of the medical professions who would otherwise be dealing with the stuff that has been killing people for centuries, they're all closed or impossible to get into.

I just had my temp checked for the third time so far today. My BP and weight was taken this morning. ALL of the staff and employees are wearing masks as are some but not all the residents. Masks must be worn by every one entering the building and hands disinfected.
Our facility appears to be doing all the right things and we have not had any incidents. I see employees wiping down rails, tables shelves etc. all the time.

I have been noticing this on my recent visits for lab work and doctors appointments and it just strikes me as strange that so many seem grossly over weight.

I have been asking the same question for years.
It is almost inevitable that the reception people in particular in the various doctors office are fairly large ladies. I suppose they are healthy but it is indeed strange that the doctors all tell me that I am overweight (not taking muscle mass into consideration) but have overweight receptionists and nurses.

I've noticed this as well, and not just in a doctors office, but in hospitals also. Then again, neither my current or last VA doctor recommended that I lose weight, perhaps because both of them were on the "chubby" side. My wife's PCP never told her to lose weight, perhaps because he was short and "chubby" also.

Although, I've seen some very lean law enforcement officers, and then again, have seen some that had somewhat of a noticeable "beer belly".

I have had that same issue. Doctors here are only doing phone appointments, and they have limited office hours, some only being open a few days each week now. All you get is an answering machine when you call the office.

Apparently, they are seeing so few people that they can’t continue to be open. People are afraid to even go to the doctor now days, which is beyond sad and borders on craziness.

I believe I've read that something like 70% of Americans are overweight, so naturally that includes health care workers.

I have just noticed that the gentleman that is delivering my meals is a senior. He looks and
acts like a professional waiter and I judge him to be in his 60's or 70's. None of the other workers are that old.
