Hi there, I am Johnny (male) from WNY. I guess my age of 76 makes me a senior? Retired from the rat race and loving it. I love reading and learning, scrabble, chess, indoor plants, socializing, friends, walking, exercising, keeping an open mind and staying healthy. Hoping to make some friends here. Thanks.

Welcome to Seniors Only Club, @Johnny Forster ! We are a friendly group here, and i am sure you will fit right in if you are looking for some new online friends and good conversation.
We have several other members from the eastern part of the US, too. I am an Idaho native, now transplanted to Alabama.

Thanks Yvonne I see you are a greeter here and a helper too? I may ask you later how to do this and that.

Never been to Houston, but I have high respect for the Lone Star State. Actually I had planned to move to the Austin area some years ago but other things developed. Now I'm stuck up here in WNY with the remnants of my family. Glad to meet you.

Texas is a great place, but I'd avoid the Austin area (or any other large metro area) if possible. Are you in the Finger Lakes region? Beautiful country.

Nope. Western NY. Suburban Buffalo. Have been all over NY state, the suburbs are not my idea of heaven, but I have family here, and I grew up here while attending SUNY BUffalo. I do like central NY and the Adirondacks areas.

I am glad to help with any questions you have, @Johnny Forster . There is also a Help section at the top if the forum where people have asked questions, and you will find some answers there also.
If you click on your name at the top of the page, it opens a little box of options where you can set preferences, make an avatar or signature, and stuff like that.

Welcome from Central Virginia, Johnny. I spent over 45 years in the suburbs of DC and have retired to a rural spot in the middle of the state. I don't miss it a bit.

Thanks for the welcome. When I was much younger I owned an Austin Healey Sprite. Looked kinda like the car you picture. What is it?

That car is a Bugeye (Sprite Mark I.) Mine was that exact same Mustard color. It also had the factory hardtop. I miss it, although I lack the sense of denial I used to have when I drove it around the normal-sized cars.

Did you own a Bugeye or one of the later models?

Was not a bugeye. Softtop only. I think around a 1968. Not sure. I do know I replaced it with a 72 El Camino. I liked the El Camino a lot better.

Hi Johnny. Southern lower Michigan here, born and raised just 80 miles from where I am today. No fast cars, fast women, or fabulous adventures... so not much in the way of pictures to post. I'm looking forward to any opinions, advice, and experiences you choose to share though.
