Just to say hello to everyone. I am a 62 y.o. female living in the United States currently. I enjoy many things including good movies, reading, a little exercise, and browsing the internet. Please to meet you all.
Hello, @Jane Monroe , and welcome to the forum ! While most of us are from the United States, we have members here from all over, so there is always some interesting information, or pictures from different places in the world, and it is a fun way to become a world traveler , right from your recliner. I am from Alabama, also enjoy reading (really enjoy Thomas Perry’s Jane Whitefield novels !), browsing the internet , and also the exercise part, which for me now is mainly walking or swimming at the fitness center pool. Where about are you from ? I am a greeter here, so if there is anything that I can help you with getting used to how the forum operates, just let me know !
Welcome to the forum. I have been living in Maine for the past twenty years but I grew up in the UP of Michigan, lived in Southern California for over a decade, and in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas for a couple of decades. In between, I spend shorter amounts of time in Iowa and North Carolina. My foreign travels have been limited to Canada, Mexico, and a Caribbean cruise. Quebec must count for something because it was far easier to find something who would speak English to me in Mexico than in Quebec. I have been in all but a few of the US states, however.
@Jane Monroe Hello, and welcome! Agree with @Yvonne Smith wondering where you have lived before......I, for example, was born and raised in a "foreign" place called Chicago..... Frank
Welcome! We just moved back to Colorado living in North Carolina/Huntersville and northeastern Florida/Jacksonville. We are truly glad to be living back in Colorado. Turns out that we just aren't the Southern or Florida type of couple. I have done numerous things in my life, including being in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, an EMT and being involved in professional rodeo (Team Roping). Wife and I still wear our Western attire and attend rodeos. We are both big Star Wars fans. I'm 70 and my wife is 71.
I really appreciate all the warm welcomes. I'm on the shy side and look forward to getting to know you all. I have traveled all over the US. Have been to Canada, too. I was born here in the US.
