I'm always content when I'm in that sweet spot between too little and too much of just about anything. I'm always happy/relieved when I complete any difficult/unpleasant task and get it off my list of things to do. I'm still amazed/happy when I see that my SS check has been magically deposited into my checking account. When my little apartment is neat and clean, the laundry, dishes and all of the other little chores are done. When I stumble onto a little treasure in the thrift shop or at the flea market.
I'm Happy today because the weather is horrid and I don't have to go out 2. ..because my car needed a repair and hubs took it there instead of me 3..... because my daughter got the parcel I sent her the other day 4.... because I've already had a nap today after having a bad sleep last night.. 5... because hubs is off work for 3 days...
I am happy today because I just had a wonderful day, and worked outside in the garden. I was a Big Spender today, too ! Bobby and I went to the Dollar Tree, where you can come out with a whole armload of good stuff and not spend over $20, and that is what we did. I was so happy with how the laundry basket gardening turned out, I wanted more laundry baskets to plant things in. You don’t have to put drain holes in them like you do with the buckets, or store bought planters, because the sides are open. I line the tub with pine straw, which keeps the dirt in, and lets the excess water out. I also got some solar lights for $1 each, might get more of those. I love solar lights ! We are making a small garden area in the back yard now that the trees next door have been cut down, and we actually get sunshine out there. So, I pruned back the vines, and moved some of the planter pots out back, moved my little garden work station out back (actually my Sweetie-Pie did that for me), and just had a good time. It seriously does not take much to wear me out anymore, so after finishing up for the day, I took a shower, and then a nice long nap. Looking forward to doing more tomorrow !
Happy because I am still around and can do more than months ago. I would be Happier if I could feel confident in going out and being around more people.
I am so happy today and every day for having defeated COVID. I'm alive to celebrate another U.S.A. birthday, and a week later my son's 54th birthday. So much to be happy about, really. Good night all.
