There must be much more to it than that! The bear is obviously working out in a cross fit agenda. ( S)he may be trying to conquer the fear of heights with a reward at the top which also helps put him into a caloric deficit by only consuming 1 or 2 eggs for all that effort.
Good job Yogi, Good job! Keep those paws up! Step up, and down, and up and down 2,3,4,5, 6,7,8......breath in, and out, and in and out....

I agree with @Patsy Faye . There are two of the birds. If they had dive bombed him, he likely would fallen or given up. I wonder what kind of birds they were?

@Shirley Martin - They're big aren't they, almost eagle like
If they were eagles, they would surely have tackled him though

I was wondering that, too. When I lived in idaho growing up, there were ospreys that always built their nest on the top of one of the poles that went along side of the bridge over the river.
It is definitely a large bird, but I agree that an eagle would have probably at least been trying to chase the bear away from their nest. In any case, it is pretty impressive that the bear was able to climb up there to get the eggs !

Yes, it is. I would have thought it was Photoshopped but it was posted by a game camera company, so probably not.
