I have worn them for a lifetime, had FUN with colors and even was in the red rage for a time, but mostly tortoise, browns, etc..... Tried contacts in my 20's and no patience to stick with it. Glad I did NOT push them..... Now at 86 dealing with blurry stuff and TRYING to keep glasses working..... Glasses can make one look special, I think...
Glasses really do add character, and it sounds like you’ve had fun experimenting over the years! I admire your positive attitude about finding what works. Have you tried any newer lens options for blurriness?
I've worn glasses since I was ten and am happy with them. I like being able to change my glasses from time to time, something that I enjoyed more when I was in my teens to thirties, but I still enjoy changing eyeglass frames. I know many people have been comfortable with contacts, but the thought of digging them out of my eyes makes me squirm. My wife had LASIK surgery and was happy to have had it, but that idea makes me squirm even more than contact lenses. Plus, my wife still uses cheaters to read. Overall, I'm used to wearing glasses and am okay with that.
I wore glasses until my teens, when I got contacts. Had to stop using contacts in my 20's and went back to glasses. Then cataract surgery in my 60's stopped the need for glasses.....except after a while I had to use "dimestore readers" for up close work. I'm going to the optho in the new year; it looks like I might need glasses again.
I was in my 40s when I first had to wear glasses. It was a blow to my ego. I have to upgrade my prescription every 2-3 years. Last time my eyesight in each eye went a different direction (one got more nearsighted and the other got more farsighted.)
I hate wearing glasses but I like see. I started to wear glasses in my late 30's for reading. I wear them to read and drive, otherwise I don't wear them. My vision is somewhat blurry due to cataracts and changing my eyeglass prescription hasn't help any.
I really hate wearing glasses; they always bother me on the bridge of my nose. I wore contacts for a while but I don't like them either. Unfortunately my vision has deteriorated to the point that I have to wear corrective lenses if I want to see anything clearly.
I find those wearing attractive frames, so much more interesting and attractive.....and I eon't like all the fancy designer frames......good basic frames make a person stand out....
I never needed glasses until I hit 40 and then drug store glasses sufficed for reading. Eventually a prescription was need and has to be updated every few years. I developed glaucoma in the right eye but my brain seems to sort it out when the visual information gets there.
I was born with a lazy eye and very good eye, so I have to have scripts for the issues. The little ones are in real trouble wtih eye issues, the G.D. tech push on them.....
I think most people look good wearing glasses. I think I look better with mine on than with them off.
