Women have been telling men to get in touch with our inner female selves so I did but she’s gay and likes females too.

You guys are lucky. I'm trapped in a dog's body. A mutt at that. It's ruff. The last woman I flirted with told me I was barking up the wrong tree.
    At least it's a male dog's body.

Part of it is an attention thing.
Part of it is having something to belong to (somewhat the identity-seeking that cults provide where "family" didn't.)
Part of it is the consumer culture of never being satisfied.
In a weird way it's purely American. Talk about "reinventing yourself."

It's an interesting phrase, as though one's psyche is completely separate from one's physical being.

So how many kids are truly born androgynous and the doctor makes a subjective on-the-spot call? Would that not leave evidence? And could there be something going on genetically that does not manifest itself in any physical way?

I've not seen any genetic studies on these folks. Of course, there are others who are also "non-traditional" that don't want to know this stuff because it implies there is "something wrong" with them, and that they can be "fixed." Makes me think of those in the deaf community who are rabidly against those who get cochlear implants because of the "you're saying there's something wrong with me" implication. There was a huge protest at Gallaudet years ago when a president had been selected who had received implants. They wanted no part of her.

I had a close friend whose parents had both been deaf. He worked with the deaf at several institutions. I can't remember if one of them was Gallaudet.
I lost my friend. He was hiking alone along the Appalachian Trail and slipped off a cliff and fell and was killed. He was a great guy.
I wasn't around his clients much. I'm surprised that some have those extreme views.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

Cochlear implants are highly controversial in the deaf community. It's akin to seeking a fixable genetic cause for homosexuality. Not many gays are gonna be behind it. Some number would want such research shut down.

I guess most gays don't regret being gay. I don't think that's true, or as true, with the transsexual community. Many girls have regretted the irreversible changes the testosterone pills bring on, like a deepened voice and body hair, but they can't go back. It's a cult. They ruin their own lives and those of their families. What are your thoughts on this, John?

I'd agree that most gay's don't regret being gay. But I don't think they would be behind efforts to find a "cure" for those who might choose to pursue such a thing because of the implications.

I don't know how those who pursue an irreversible sex change path might feel about their decision. You spoke before of hate speech being outlawed. I've spoken of science being dead, and existing as a political tool. I believe this is one of those subjects where the two intersect. And whatever lost souls may exist shall forever be lost.

I followed the story when it first came out and though it was very sad. These new age teachers and the left leaning system has gone to far. When I was young we knew people who were sexually confused and at that time we just ignored them. Now they make them out to be someone special and needs a rank about normal people. This causes children who want to be special to join in this insanity. Then it is not only made OK but push by people who could care less about the damage it dose. No one ask how many of these sexually confuse people go on to commit suicide or have mental problem through out their lives.

I don't think that anyone ever has been or will be "influenced" into that kind of a drastic step. I think most if not all are sincere in their beliefs. I will say that ifsome one was "influenced" to do this, they were very weak minded and so, not a big loss.
When it comes to homosexuality you either is or you ain't. Bisexual, you just a damn ho,looking for carnal pleasure no matter what. Just a ho I say!

These are young kids who are being influenced by authority figures. They are in the process of forming their identities. By definition, they are weak-minded at that stage of their lives. Adults are a different story.

Don't agree John. I don't care what age you are another person of the same sex coming after you is stomach turning. If you don't want to puke while being hit on by a guy,you might want to examine yourself a bit closer. I know I knew right from wrong at a very early age.
An undeveloped youth may be enticed to do homosexual acts, but that does not make them one.(Think Boy Scouts and Choir boys).

    Here's your previous thread:

    https://www.seniorsonly.club/threads/j-k-rowling-goes-insane.16333/

    Here's how I found it:
-Clicked on the "Search" field at the toolbar at the top of the screen
-Clicked on the "More..." box at the bottom right
-Clicked on the "Search Threads and Posts" tab (this might not have been necessary)
-Typed "Rowling" in the Keyword box
-Checked the "Search titles only" box
-Entered your name in the "Posted by Member" field
--(this auto-suggests after the first 3 letters are typed to avoid typos)
-Went to the bottom and clicked on "Search"

I use the following process pretty often looking for my own stuff:

As the poster of the comment, you can:
-Hover over your User Name on the top toolbar
    -Click on "Your Profile Page"
    -Click the "Postings" tab

A one-page list of your most recent comments will appear
At the end of the list are two options:
-"Find all comments by Dwight Ward" lists every comment you have made
-"Find all threads by Dwight Ward" lists the threads you started
