    ..by moving into another:p

I finally got the call for a new apartment, new to me and Annie. My move day isn't until June 20 so lots of time to pack. Thought I'd do a thread since I've just talked about moving for quite a long time.

Here is a link to view the apartments, insides are of one like mine but don't know why there isn't a pic of bedroom but I'll put in the floorplan as well. Open to questions, just don't get too nosey and we'll get a long fine :p

Here's the floorplan, which I had snipped wrong from the original and thought the bedroom had no window. I was willing to accept that, but after I had a nap, and rested, I looked back at the original, which I'll attach below ;) PS Indoor plumbing, yeehaw!!

Looks really nice, Denise. I think you will love having your bedroom window look out onto the balcony.

I wasn't really sure about that but I think you're right because I'm going to have it set up pretty cute and I think the view won't be too bad I mean I don't stare out the window at night but it'll still be nice I know having a dishwasher will be nice and more room so I can actually buy couch I never got a couch for this apartment because it was so small 00probably 200 ft less than the new apartment will be

Once you are moved to Oregon, they have Devoted Health , @Denise Evans ; so you can check out the plans they have. I know you said you didn’t have much available where you are now, but Devoted has opened in Oregon this year.
We changed from Humana to Devoted, and they are a great company.

Thanks Yvonne, I'll be on Ohp as I was before I moved to CA. I can apply to my OHP before I'm even moved to Oregon as long as I have the end date of my coverage with Medi-CAL, CA's form of medicaid. I'll also be just a few minutes from the Rogue Valley Hospital that is excellent. Also, Grants Pass has a good hospital, just more doctors and specialists, nurses want to live in those areas near our I5. I will be better off health-wise all around. I may be able to get the extra plan if I think I need it. Last time my only reason was to get a free gym-membership but now I totally love working out at home with my resistance bands. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind ;)

I will look into Devoted, and again, I appreciate your input :) A good veterinarian is also on my list of to-do's ;)

I do wonder if they make curtains/rods for Bay Windows. Never had those before but love the look, and the little ledge maybe Annie will enjoy sitting on. I'm going to get a couple of the memory-foam doggy stairs for her eventually. I really like the white kitchen cabinets, easy for me to see dirt better than on wood-colored ;)

PS just realized that floorplan they sent has no measurments! Not much help with figuring things out thinking.gif

I have a bay window in my bedroom ( classed as outdated now days ) I always had lace curtains in the shaped part and a tie back lace curtain in either side of the open part
However I’ve changed it recently after having the window tinted, and I like the the lace curtains in the straight part ..think I’ve got a couple of photos of what I mean ….and yes @Denise Evans you can make your own rod to go in the shaped part by using the common 1/2 inch 16 mm basic curtain rod 3 lengths cut to size and use two plastic type attachments. to join the 2 side bits
and of course brackets to hold the rod up

Thanks Kate for the info, I found all kinds of rods on Amazon than will do for me. I may need something more than lace to keep the area cool in hot Summer days, although I'm going to be facing South so better than East or West. I can't afford tinted windows so nice that you can.

If it get really hot in summer / cold in winter …you could always put lace in the bay part for privacy ,and put a rod across the straight part and put heavy block out type curtains you can pull back when it suits you Denise

Here is my bay window before tinting and after ( I have a roller shutter that looks black now since the tinting was done )

I made all my curtains or in some cases altered pinch pleat curtains to fit the 2 glass sliding doors I have in the living room / dinning

I did a year long soft furnishing course at adult further education collage years ago and it’s really saved me bucket loads of money making my own cushions / curtains / pillow cases / fitted sheets for myself and family members

I meant to mention we get the hot afternoon sun on that bedroom window ,the vet reason we had a roller shutter put on it …

Where you can see a pointy shaped tree in right side of window it’s a Norfolk Island pine ) that’s how close we are to the beach , so we do get a bit of salt corrosion from the sea , so we have to wash window frames about every three months or so
