I'm an early adapter for most technology. I remember when I got my first iPod - it was actually my second mp3 device - it was the first generation that came out, and I had to actually buy an apple computer to run itunes on it. Anyway, I went to the dentist, who happened to be a tech guy, and he looked at the iPod and asked "What's that??" I explained to him what mp3 devices where and told him that I could store 1,000 cds on this little device (this was a big step up from the Rio I had that only stored 1 hour of music). This was back in 2001 or 2002. It's funny, that here we are only a dozen years later, and I don't think there's a single person on the planet who doesn't know what an iPod is now - but back then it was a truly miraculous piece of technology.
