For some reason, I never paid much attention to the news stories about former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez being charged with murder... or to anything that followed his case for that matter. But I am a fan of true crime documentaries so I saw the trailer for this one on Netflix and watched it. So many things went wrong for that young man, and so many lives messed up for no good reason. At any rate, I found this worth the time to watch, if my only take-away was the heartless greed and coverups by collegiate sports and the NFL.
I wonder how I missed that one? I'll watch it tomorrow and report back. I love a good crime documentary.
Oh, and one gag-worthy fact... one of his lawyers was that disgusting bottom-feeder Jose Baez, who got Casey Anthony off for murdering little Caylee.
To this day, I still can't believe that happened!! My daughter was living in Orlando at the time. There was actually a march in the streets against that verdict.
I watched the Hernandez story today. What a waste of potential. Even after they played evert pity card they could find, I still thought he was an arrogant narcissist hot head....like his dad. Throw drugs in the mix and the end result is never good. For me, the proof of his flawed character is in the way he spoke to his mom. Very interesting show though, thanks for posting about it.
And what a piece of work was his mother??? "Just gimme a million dollars." Seriously?? He was flawed and doomed from the start.
Slightly off topic But this You Tube channel I find very interesting. Link is to just one story but the site has hundreds. or this one.
