For me it would be Bloomberg. He mirrors Trump in many ways although running as a Dem. I don't believe he would undo any gains from the Trump economy which is good, but would take a liberal direction on social matters.

I like the direction you are taking with this thread Ed.
I think I have to agree with you because no after how hard I try and how much I dislike the idea of Bloomy getting the nod, I just cannot see the other runners sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office.
In essence, the other runners are basking in the light of Obama’s “hope and change” and “fundamentally change America” mottos that pretty much put him in office.

I don't care for him much, but then I never liked Trump either. :D We always seem to be forced into choosing the lesser of two evils.

Bloomberg would be about as close to Hitler as we've come. As much as he were able, he would dictate every facet of our lives, from what we're injected with, to what we eat, buy, or do with our time, and who is allowed health treatment and who isn't. I'd rather have Bernie than Bloomberg.

Yes, Bloomie had the gall to ban foods that he had no business doing. Restaurants were decidedly aggravated with him over this. If we wanted butter, we had to request it, etc. He's not good as a leader at all. Ironically, today, it is illegal in NY not to automatically have butter on the table in a restaurant, and one has to ask for an alternative.

I bet SNL is praying for Bernie to win. Bernie is a bonanza of potential skits.

Looking at the title of this thread, I cannot help but think, that is the toughest question I have faced as an adult.:mad::mad::mad:

Bloomberg wants to buy the election with his money. Bernie want to buy the election too but with your money so he can give it to someone else.

I realize that my “least objectionable” pick, Mike Bloomberg has some pretty stupid stuff going on behind his name. Between his soda pop and butter issue to frisk and search, I agree that these are problematic but those issues cannot surely follow him should he become president.
Do image, if you will, Bloomy trying to run some of that same stuff through congress or even on an executive order. None of it will fly (which is a good thing) but it doesn’t take away from the fact that the guy is smart in a crazy sort of way but still smart.

All the other candidates have agendas that might just make it through a “climate change” or a socialist friendly congress which might also be real friendly with changing the Constitution to fit several Democrat ideas.
Heck, we have Bernie who has never held a job, Biden who is so mentally unstable he doesn’t even know he’s running for the presidency instead of the Senate. Then we have Liz who seems to flip a coin as to what today’s truths might be and of course, Buta, Bitageog.Buti....heck, you know who I mean, the guy who obviously wants to re-write the Bible so it mirrors the way he lives instead of the other way around.

Nope, I think I’ll stick with my original answer but thank heavens, the thread is, I hope, a fantasy thread because I really believe that D. Trump will make all that fantasy go away and be the President for a second term.

For a while I thought Buttigieg was the most sensible of the lineup, which I realize isn't saying a lot. :p But I'm beginning to listen closer to him and have amended my original assessment. :D Bloomberg is still a question mark to me; I'm not sure how I feel about him. He doesn't seem very dynamic when speaking but I like that he isn't prone to apologize for every imagined indiscretion from 40 years ago.

Mayor Pete is saying exactly what Obama said. He's just using a couple of different words hoping we won't remember. No such luck, Pete.

Precisely! My wife found a split screen of Obama and Pete with each making a speech. it would seem that Pete B doesn’t work very hard on his speeches since a few key phrases he used were verbatim from some of Obama speeches.
