    Jeezzzz.....
Here I am, doing my best to be nice in the wake of your self admitted mental disorder and again, you totally blew things out of the water.
It appears to me that you do not WANT to learn or you already would have or simply, you can’t learn, which is very hard to believe.

And YES, it would be far more pleasurable to ME and I am sure for almost everyone if you could complete your post all by yourself without giving everyone instructions on what you want shown and where to find it.

C’mon Hal! You’re a big boy now and I really really know you can walk all by yourself. If you fail, so what? I guarantee that you will not break your computer if you try.
And......you had the guys out there yesterday to show you how to bring up your DVD player, so why didn’t you ask one of them to show you how to maneuver the links on YouTube???

And, what the heck do you mean by having a boot on my neck? Do you even know what you meant or are you just having an Obama moment?

Frankly Bobby..I'm just being mean, because I went to download a short video on YouTube, and I COULDN'T FIND the buttons you said to click on! So should I get mad at Beth for this?

Grrrr... Here's a suggestion for YOUR avatar!

Ya know, when I find that I cannot do something, I do not blame anyone else for my own short falls. If I am lacking, then I do something to improve the situation and generally speaking, without anyone else’s help.
Are you sure you were in the ARMY?

    Last chance.
Go to the YouTube vid you wish everyone to see. You have a touch screen now right? Poke the video with whatever finger you wish to use and a box will appear with some options. Poke the option with that very same finger (I’d say use any finger but you might get confused) that says “copy link” and if it is successful, then a small box will appear and it will say “copied”.

Come back to the forum, and poke or touch the screen where you will post the video. A cursor will appear like it always does.
    Now comes the hard part.
Choose a finger on your left hand and and also one on your right hand. Got the yet? Okay, I’ll wait until you get done saying eenie, meanie, minee, mo. Hmmmm de hum hum hum.....hmmmmmm de dum de deeeeeee.

Okay, assuming you have chosen the fingers, use your chosen one on the left hand to push the command (or cmd) button and with the special finger on the right hand, push V.

Very magically, a bunch of words and a bunch of other screwy looking stuff will appear all on one line.
Now, choose a finger and touch.......POST REPLY. No, you shouldn’t have to do the eenie meanie thing again. Just use one of the fingers you used before and BINGO....you are all set.

Oh yeah, if you do not have a touch screen, left click from the mousy looking thing in your right hand instead of choosing a finger, assuming of course, you’re holding onto the mouse.

I don't leave, but I DO roll my eyes and grumble choice words everytime I see their avatar. :D

Speaking of avatars, I really like your new one. It looks like you used the same site I did. They are free and kinda fun to goof with.
It would be such a nice alternative to people who don't want to look at their own picture every time they post.

@Hal Pollner I posted an easy youtube video on how to do it on the thread you started. When I'm trying to learn how to do something
new, I learn better with a visual than someone just explaining it to me. It is really easy to post a video, it just sounds complicated. It's
only a couple of steps. Anytime you need help on how to do something, just go to youtube, type in what you are trying to learn and there
will be several videos showing you how step by step.

Yes, Bobby...I was in the Army:

    Specialist H. I. Pollner
    57th Signal Company
    304th Signal Battalion
    8th US Army
    Seoul, Korea

I didn't fool with wires...we worked with Coaxial Cables for HF/VHF/UHF and with metal Waveguide for Radar Frequencies.

But you had to have worked with PRC-10’s and WD1/TT in your training. Everyone touches base with the basics.
Now, I had the opportunity to work with TACAN whilst on loan to the Air Force which the Army didn’t have. Big stuff. Fry your fingers off just touching the array.

So then, what is tripping you up about the YouTube thing? Maybe that’s why everyone on the forum including me has failed thus far instructing you how to imbed a YouTube video. Maybe, just maybe we’re not connecting somehow.
Everyone (I think) has mentioned that you need to watch a video on the subject so why don’t you?
There’s nothing embarrassing about not knowing something which you of all people should agree. Just keep trying to figure it out and you’ll get it right sooner or later.

After all that, you can start your own channel and upload a bunch of pictures of yourself from YouTube.

I like the avatars that are NOT a persons photo the best. Photos can consciously and/or subconsciously affect how/what we think about/label people.

What they look like is totally irrelevant....after reading their posts for awhile you get a feel for what they are really like as people. Who they are. Or at least how they are or what they are feeling/experiencing at that time. Also, which posts they assign "likes" to helps us get to know them.

Often the avatar they choose can tell us some about their personality, as well.

I fail to see a connection between WD-1/TT field wire and avatars. However if one is going to throw out such an impressive term then let's discuss it. Us girls might want to know about WD-1/TT wire, I mean 7 strands, 3 steel, and 4 flexible copper and now get this ladies, it is in a TWISTED PAIR! Other versions of field wire were just flat ribbon and well --- boring. Since I cannot think of an avatar using a twisted pair, I am going to suggest these two military communications experts stop the sissy throwing around of unimpressive terms and insulting each other and pick an avatar showing their radio expertise from their military era. Step up and be men and address your avatar!

Since Bobby mentioned the PRC-10 it would be a good one for him.
It boasts .9 watts FM output

For Hal since he has shown us his bare chest, I am going to suggest
the ART 13 with 100 watts AM plate modulated output.
    ART-13B-ZD1_sm.jpg

Now off-limits to these two arm wrestlers, is my personal favorite,
the BC-610 300 watts plate modulated AM and a real hunk.
