I am crying to have to write this, but I received a message back from Lon’s daughter, and she said that Lon had passed away last night. It is sad news, but something that we have all been thinking was possible.
Thanks for chasing this down, Yvonne, and being the messenger. This sucks. It always sounded like he had a good life and enjoyed himself.
Very, very sorry to hear this news. I want to thank John Brunner for letting me know and Yvonne for checking this out for the forum. Without a doubt, Lon will be missed. RIP, Lon.
thank you for reaching out to his family and for taking the initiative to show we cared about Lon. He will be missed
It is heartbreaking, for sure. I was going to call the hospital again this weekend; but kept putting it off because I was afraid to hear that Lon had passed away. Then, I got the message from his daughter this afternoon, and started crying, and trying to write and let everyone else know . It sounds like his family were probably there with him at the hospital, at least I am hoping that they were. As hard as it is for all of us when we have such sad news, it is still better than never knowing for sure what happened. Sending prayers for all of Lon’s family is all I can do , and I know that others here will be praying for the family also.
