Here we can monitor our weight losses, or in some case our weight gains..
You have the option of either posting your present weight and the loss as we go along........ or ....
Just posting your weight loss without divulging your total weight...
It would be suggested that you weigh yourself the same time every week..
Some weigh themselves every day which is way too much, however if that makes them happy, ,why not..

    OK...... I will start......
    I have nothing to hide.....
Originally I weighed 358 pounds at my heaviest..
Now I weigh about 218 pounds..
The reason I say about is because I fluctuate a few pounds up or down, from about 205 to 215..
Now, I am a bit too high by a few pounds and I will definitely go on Induction soon to drop those extra pounds..
I am waiting for the Jewish Holiday of Passover to be finished first and then I will "DO IT".....

I will weigh myself every Sunday morning and post my weight either up or down..

Today I weigh..... 218.6 pounds ... my scale digital gives me the weight that way..

    That is SUPER terrific..
Those pounds are much better off than on you..
The fact you are losing them slowly is fabulous..
Slowly off, ... it will stay off...

Best news I have heard all day...

I will weigh myself every Sunday morning...
I am not on strict low carb plan, but I will be come after Passover at the end of the month...

Good enough as long as you do drink that amount daily..
I know that consuming more sends you to the bathroom, way too often, but it is necessary to lose weight..
NOW........... don't go and overdo it......
So far, whatever you are doing isn't wrong...

I wrote about this in the thread about fiber, but since that thread was actually about fiber and not dieting and losing weight, I want to touch on it again here.
As I mentioned, in the other low-carb forum that several of us belonged to before it closed, (and Steve started this section for low-carb), there was a lady in the other forum who basically only ate protein, no carbs, and mostly she ate meat.
this is what is called the Carnivore Diet, and it seemed to work well for her, and she was healthy and lost the weight she wanted to lose that way.
According to the article that I was reading, the heavy protein/fats in the induction phase of Atkins is why most people lost weight really well at first, and then hit a plateau when they started adding carbs back in.
So, I have decided to give this a try. I have been stalled with weight loss since last fall, which is when I ran out of my thyroid meds, and it started being an issue.
Now, I am back on the armor thyroid, and supplementing with more iodine and minerals, and feeling better.
I will report back in how things are going with the zero carb plan. I am actually still going to have salad, but carbs under 10 grams, so almost none.
Also, th video says that it is thought that the Neanderthals ate mostly meat, and I have a lot of the Neanderthal genes in my DNA, so it might be something that works good for me.

    @Yvonne Smith
Because I lead a fairly active life walking / dancing I need a few carbs but I don’t count them just be aware about what I’ve eaten .Im happy to be corrected if this is not correct ,I believe we needs carbs for energy and I’d end up on the floor if I didn’t include a few carbs
I eat a sweet potato that about once or twice a week ..today is a holiday ( queens birthday ) and we have a social day at our dance venue I will have a white potato with most of the trimmings except for the heaps of butter /.cream
I don’t ever eat white spuds but once in a while is OK ..we have live entertainment so I’ll dance off any extra carbs

I am in no way saying that everyone should live on zero carbs, and even on a weight loss diet, some people lose weight way easier than others. I lost weight much better when I was younger and more active than I do now, too.
My situation is that I am insulin-resistant from overeating carbs for most of my life. I have a heart condition that keeps me from being active like I used to be, and the meds for my heart keep my heart rate at around 50-60 bpm, so my metabolism is only creeping along nowadays.
With Keto, I can run on fat for fuel and feel better than when I have more carbs, but that is just me.

    OK.......
I weighed myself this morning and my weight was .......... 215.6 pounds
I originally started this weight loss and weighed 221.8 which was 3 weeks ago..
That's a loss of about 6 pounds in 3 weeks which isn't that bad..
I'm eating good foods but staying away from bad carbs..
I will continue this way till I reach my goal which about 6 more pounds...
