This is in Clarksville, Tennessee, not Arkansas. https://clarksvillenow.com/local/man-dies-from-being-trapped-in-donation-bin/
It seems to me they should be able to make those bins so people can't get trapped. The man might have been desperate for clothing or something to keep him warm.
Well, I suppose so. But when do humans become responsible for their own actions? Do we have to "people proof" everything? Most of us wouldn't look at that bin and think, "I'll just climb in there." I'm sorry he died in such a manner, but it was by his own doing.
Of course you're right Beth, but people in dire situations try desperate things. I'm sure the man didn't expect to get trapped like he did.
Am I reading it right in that the lower part of his body was outside and only the top part stuck inside? I mean, there could be any number of reasons why he took it upon himself to want to see what was inside. Maybe it was seeing if anything was useful or valuable. I'm not sure why he would've died, other than heat or a heart attack from being afraid. What an odd story.
