You know that getting old is a privilege that not everyone has..

As far as my age goes, I worked hard for it, I deserve it, and NOBODY is going to deprive me of it...

I love getting old because it has now changed that they don't ask how old are you but ask how many years young are you. I am 76 years young now

I believe you have to make your birthday visible before your age will show up automatically. I prefer not to show my birthday, for several reasons. I was born in 1946. Go figure.

My fingers are not odd. A little bit of arthritis maybe, but otherwise they are perfectly normal.

To the best of my knowledge, there is a man on this Forum who is 83, and a woman who is 88.

If that's the case, then they've rained on my parade and I'm not the Methuselah anymore!

Yes I agree with @Holly Saunders that older seniors are often proud of achieving their age (is that just men though)?, and will often say I will be 90 or whatever next month. I have never bothered about my age apart from when I was very young adding to my years, but these days I am happy to say I have reached 77 1/2 , and will be 87 in 10 years time (maybe), [IMG]

You know..if I get to 77 and a half... and have the energy and the youthful attitude you have Terry , I'll be very happy indeed... ..

...OTOH isn't it a sobering thought for you tho' to say you'll be almost 90 in just short 10 years....I know it comes to us all if we're lucky, still skeery tho'...

Yes @Holly Saunders it is, and I also realise when planting new trees and shrubs, I may never see them mature. The terminus is very much in view as you age, but somehow your mind (at least mine does), prepares you for death in a way, by gradually withdrawing from life.

If it wasn't for Lisa's constant energy and travel ideas, I would likely be sitting in a wheelchair in a corner of a care home somewhere, reminiscing about old times [IMG]
