Saw a teaser article asking 'what was the popular movie the year you were born'.
I didn't click on the link, went straight to the 24th Academy Awards for 1952.

    Nominees for Best Picture were:

    An American in Paris
    Decision Before Dawn
    A Place in the Sun
    Quo Vadis
    A Streetcar Named Desire

All very good movies and I agree on the award going to 'An American in Paris'.
But, I like 'The African Queen' much more than the winner.
I watch it everytime it comes on. The interplay between Bogie and Kate is a thing to behold.

I might add that my favorite actor won the 'Best Actor' award for 'The African Queen',
    Humphey Bogart.

Vivien Leigh beat out Katharine Hepburn for 'Best Actress'.

What were the pictures the year you were born?
