New here and ex K9 handler military and police work, just showing my girl Mica and some words that mean so much to me. Avatar taken recently at a fellow soldiers funeral. I was asked to bring them. Mica led the pall berers the others walked in between them, not a dry eye seen. All retired K9's A WORKING DOG'S OATH I will lay down my life for you and expect nothing but love in return. I protect my officer with my life, and would gladly take a bullet in his place. I am sent in to find lost children and fugitives on the run. I find drugs and weapons and even bombs. I am the first sent in and sometimes the last to leave. I am the nose and ears of my officer. I will protect and serve him. I would die for him and for you. I only ask for compassion and a kind word.
Oh Such a Hero Dog... I thank you Mica for your service . ..and ..To the forum @Tex Dennis , from London England
All of my dogs and cat who is the boss lady are rescue retired working dogs K9"S except the 2 that were dumped at my home Lucy and Ethyl. All get along perfect, it is very interesting if and when a stranger comes to the door, we do not have many as we are in a rural area. 2 times I have been approached by some questionable people that have instantly had a change of mind possibly of their intentions, once pushing my friend in a wheel chair who was disabled, if they had not backed off there could have really been a huge problem.
My little six pound Chihuahua gets that same reaction. She might not be able to bite very high but she could shred their ankles.
We have a Belgian Mallinois.. this is our Malli ( well my daughters')... she's taller than our old GS we had growing up... but a lot skinnier.. and much more temperamental than a GS... she's trained to be a security dog which she's very good at.. but she's not the best with other dogs.. but she's as strong as an OX She's in the middle just 9 months old in this picture but already taller than our Dobie...
Holly that's a beautiful doggy there, I have to ask where was that picture taken? We had and worked some Mallois and called them Maligators! I have never had one but agree with what you said 100%, also will add less health issues, faster and can turn much faster, thank you for sharing this.
You're welcome. The picture was taken at my daughter's place in Southern Spain, she lives in the mountains and has Boarding Kennels and a Dog training centre.. The Malli is 3 years old now...
