My Oldest Daughter

    She arrived yesterday about noon in order to see her mother who is hospice. Seeing is a poor choice of words, I suppose. An eight-foot table is placed under the covered drive through and we sit at each end - governer's order. Not nearly enough, but it is what it is.

    She cooked for me and left a refer filled with food only a daughter can prepare.

    I know you were glad to see your daughter, Scott. Does she live far from you? And how sad that she couldn't touch and hug her mother. These are terrible times.

    Many thanks for your kind thoughts. She lives north of Dallas, Texas, about 300 miles from here. When the nursing home stopped my visits I bought my wife a cell phone. We talk a lot. Sometimes we just burn the minutes like we used when she lived at home.

    These are tough times. We must outlive the virus.

    Beth, last week you mentioned you were interested in journaling, but you couldn't think of things to say.

    I think you had some unique opinions on home schooling. I think you need to give yourself permission to journal some of these views. You might surprise yourself.
