    That's amazing. Where did they come from? Why were they there? They don't seem to be the least bit afraid.

    they live in a public park near by, called Nara Park. at one time considered messengers of the gods. called Sika deers also known as the spotted deer or the Japanese deer, a species of deer native to much of East Asia, and introduced to various other parts of the world. Previously found from northern Vietnam in the south to the Russian far east in the north, it is now uncommon in these areas, excluding Japan, where the species is overabundant. thats about all I know except they are popular with tourists

    They look like some that we saw in the Virginia Safari. I can see why they are popular.
