Reporters from CNN were nearly killed covering the LA fires this morning being nearly trapped. It has been a bone to pick of mine as I watch reporters every year describing hurricanes standing outside trying to not get blown away or killed by flying debris. How tragic it is knowing networks risk their safety with no regard to the extreme danger they FORCE their reporters to risk. The executives should be required to stand outside with them one time and you will see the end of this stupid practice. We all can see how force full winds are without the reporters hanging on for dear life telling us the wind is blowing! As far as the fire goes now it was said it is the worst in California history and yet the people are forced to go out to tell us the place is on fire. No Kidding?!
I care more about pets being left outside in inclement weather than I do "reporters" being exposed to danger. But to your point, they didn't even provide her a life jacket.
LA is burning because the fire fighters have no water or equipment. Bad planning and sending equipment and money to Ukraine by the Democratic overlords. Fires started by citizens of tent camps.
There's a whole bunch of reporters putting their hands on ice sculptures--in progress and completed--with the predictable results.
Risking your life as a Reporter? What about Reporters that went to combat areas of Vietnam? No matter what the reporting is, Reporters get paid big bucks to report "on the scene" for wildfires, hurricanes, tornados and snow blizzards. If they want to keep their job, they go where they are told to go. However, I don't think I've ever seen the two meteorologists, with Doctrines Degrees, on the Weather Channel, report weather conditions in hazardous weather.
I would refuse to do several of the things reporters are expected to do. I do not mind being poorer- if it means living a bit longer
