I'm well-known because I have just been awarded the trophy of a "well-known member" - at last. I'd been longing for it for quite some time always envying those who managed to achieve that status way faster. Kept wondering what it would take to get this status. Never managed to be well-known in real life but here in this little niche I obviously did. What an achievement. I found out it may have to do with the likes received as in my case. So I like that and would like to thank all those likers and do hope it wasn't the software that kind of auto-liked my posts. Well, now you need to know me. It's official. I'm very satisfied. Yet let me tell all those who still don't know me: You haven't missed out on anything. Have a nice day, everybody.
Yes, I remember well when mine first appeared. It did bring a small tear to my eye but then I said to myself, “well known?”. Tis a good thing they know very little and still receive such a prestigious award! And yup, the “likes” are from your friends and neighbors on the forum and well earned I might say!
Congratulations, Thomas.....next comes the statue! Lightnin' McDuff with his most well known work “Ozymandias”.
Thanks, Joe. Statue follows status then? Still seems to be an uphill battle, though. Not even a torso visible. A bit too giant for me anyway. Wouldn't you think? Really felt tempted to post this photo in the thread "Images of well-known people". After all, I'm well-known, too, aren't I? But then I had second thoughts about it. Anyway, good things come in twos... Thanks, Bobby. Too much of an honor.
Thomas you were well known before that but just not recognized as such. congratulations now recognized.
Special thanks to you, Shirley, for your effort. I'm impressed which makes me speechless. Not sure if I deserved it. I don't know either if I should want to become a veteran member but being a "very well-known" one would be great. @all: the goodly number of likes you gave me just for this tounge-in-cheek thread alone is appreciated and very encouraging. Off we go. Thank you all.
@ Shirley Martin, I did actually think about it but then again it sounds so superior and experienced which I'm not. But who knows, let me tackle it step by step then... ...but then comes @Joe Riley with his one which is very intriguing indeed. It would really put me at the top, wouldn't it? I have a hunch you can really read me and know me inside out. I'll have to be careful. That one doesn't even exist yet, does it? If you can get Ken to create it just for me, I'll go for it. Ah, yes, a tongue is a tongue and not a tounge as I wrote above.
