My step daughter and husband have a beautiful piece of property called "Lavender Hill" in Mapua which is on the North Island near Nelson. My times in NZ are spent there.
Lon.... That looks fabulous.... Just one thing...……. Nelson is on the south island of New Zealand and NOT on the north island.. It is on the upper part of the south island.... My wife is a Kiwi and comes from Dunedin...
I don't know why I typed north island Steve--I know better. My Kiwi wife and I owned a nice town house in Christchurch when I first started going to NZ. My wife is a Kiwi and comes from Dunedin...[/QUOTE]
I only was four days in NZ (1982)...but I remember Waitomo and Rotorua as if I was there right now. Adorable people.
OF COURSE I saw the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves...!!!!.. I also was in the caves with the stalactites........and in Rotorua I put my finger in the lake (shore)
Where I lived in New Zealand the property was referred to as Lavender Hill near the town of Motueka. Waking up in the morning and looking out at the mountains was a visual treat.
