Our High Desert Avian Population

    Up here, the birds you'll see mostly in the air, knocking the lids off trash cans, and howling in the trees are our
    bossy "Super Crows", the Ravens!

    During the migrating periods, there are the Turkey Vultures with their 6-foot wing spans arriving from or departing for Mexico, and temporarily drying their wings in tall tall trees next door. Here's a picture of one:

    Other than these large birds, we have the usual Sparrows, Doves, Goldfinches, and Hummingbirds, as well as a Cooper's Hawk family that lives in the trees next door.
