We started watching American Idol a few years ago and really do like it. It's now back.

Have just started watching the new re-boot of, To Tell The Truth, and like it as well.

Another re-boot show, Name That Tune is back. It's ok, but the entire audience is very young as well as the contestants. It is filmed in Sidney, Australia where Covid 19 Restrictions are extremely light. None of the audience are "distanced" and no masks. Randy Jackson is the band leader and co-host. We remember him from being a Judge on American Idol. At least 3/4 of the tunes are mostly current and only the young (definitely below 30) contestants know them. But, once in a while, like the last show when Donna Summer's "Bad Girls" and Twisted Sister's "We're Not Going To Take It Anymore" tunes we knew fairly quickly. The only one by Twisted Sister (Dee Snyder/Lead Singer) we even know.

Then, there is the re-boot of an old show that began in 1985, The Equalizer. But, this time, Queen Latifah is the star, who is a former/retired CIA Operative. Don't know how much martial-arts, or whatever, training she went thru, but she sure kicks butt in this show. She reminds us of the movies Taken, Taken 2 and Taken 3, with Liam Neeson. He was a former/retired CIA Operative as well in these movies. Anyway, we really like Queen Latifah and her new show.

No you are not. American Idol sucked big time. They brought on some fantastic talent, but their judging system destroyed any validity the show had. To allow multiple votes to allow coalitions. Freaken ridiculous.
AGT was a much better show.
TV has really sucked since covid put a damper on creating new content. I watch mostly Discovery and the History Channel.

Well, remember, Pete, shows like American Idol aren't made for our age bracket at all, but we still see auditions that are awfully good. AGT is good, but some even very, very weird acts can show up on that show. And, take a look at Dancing With The Stars. With the way the ladies are dressed, definitely not a family show. In fact, Len Goodman, one of the judges, didn't like it at all when a male dancer would take off their shirt and bare their chest. But, then again, he is "old school" when it comes to dancing.
