There is a movie out there starring Daman Wayans called “Major Payne”. It was his contention that if someone would simply walk up and break your finger, all the other pain would go away. Not sure if that remedy was only good for bullet wounds but in theory............?

To be a bit more serious, may God speed the healing process and I do hope you’re on your feet and ready to put on your red dancing shoes really soon! Relax for now. Someone else can feed the cows, milk the chickens, wind the cat and throw out the clock for a while.

I'm feelin' my age, Nancy. :D Thanks for asking. My back still bothers me when I get up from bed in the morning or if I sit too long, but it's not horrible. Today I have been cleaning ceiling fans in the bedrooms so I expect to "pay" for it later.

Maybe you should "leaf" the pool alone, for awhile, Beth. Do you think a Chiropractor would help?o_O

How could I have missed your post?

I hope you have found some relief @Beth Gallagher.

I have had some pains in my back and I just use my faithful heating pad, watch a movie, eat and go to sleep. I put everything on hold around the house otherwise Johnny will suffer just as much as I do. Snap, snap, fuss, cuss, oh I need relief so much.

Yup, I still “liked” the reply.
The rhyme is true, I feel for you,
and I can cuss with the best when it hurts,
but there’s light at the end when my back finally bends,
and can put on my pants by myself.

Hah. It's windy again today and the leaves are swirling in the pool. I looked at them and said "meh." :D

Thanks, Von. It's slowly getting better, plus I found a bottle of prescription pain pills (from 2009, lol) and have been taking one before I go to bed at night. Not sure if the pills are helping or if the strain (?) is simply getting better.

So far, after dozens of such incidents causing pain, known and unknown,
it never became 'chronic' or even long lasting.
I always got the one who can heal me (a human health practitioner, nothing mystical),
and within 15 minutes , no more pain. ....

One recurring pain did keep being a nuisance - coming back if I played with the dogs or mowed a couple yards too quickly, or stepped of a step or into a hole in the yard sometimes - right away or by morning the pain returned, and back I went as soon as possible to the healer (again, just a human being, a health practitioner good at what they do) , and the pain was gone again, until next time.

After several admonitions to "take it easy" long enough to fully heal and be strengthened again,
I did just that - instead of getting out and doing more as soon as I felt good for a day,
I started only walking or bike riding A LITTLE BIT more each week, and gradually that has worked.

I can still go back to one of the healers if I want to, if I get hurt again, but I'm going to try to wait long enough to regain the muscle or whatever strength to not be injured so easily...

Oh, also, there are a few anti-oxidents and/or natural anti-inflammatories (not drugs) that are totally non-toxic , inexpensive, and help the whole body in many ways .... sometimes if I cannot get to a healer soon, I take some of these natural helps, and the pain is gone shortly, for a while...

The natural helps reduce inflammation so much, the pain leaves, but if something is still out of place, after six to 12 hours the pain may return, so I take some more. No worries at all - safer than taking m and m's ....

haha, like that, yes.... 'take it easy'..... I no longer 'worry' or feel like I have to cut the grass or bike too many miles or play more with the dogs -
let the recovery happen, gently and naturally....
