There are 120 residents living here in my Assisted Living abode and hardly a day goes by without the PARAMEDICS coming to the aid of one of them. Sometimes it's serious like a death but usually it's something that requires a visit to the ER like a fall, stroke, chest pains, heart attack etc. Two years ago I tripped on my bedroom carpet, fell & hit my head on the bed frame & started a good bleed. I pushed the button on my emergency pendant and had a staff member to my apartment in minutes. The staff member called the PM and they arrived in five minutes. I was taken to the ER and received wound cleaning and 34 stiches to my head. Three hours later I was taken back to my apartment by the PM. Other than a good hair trimming I survived and am fine.
