    If you haven't seen this take a look. Miraculous save!

    Terrifying images captured Saturday night at Trabzon airport on Turkey’s northeast coast showed a passenger plane teetering precariously on a steep slope, its nose pointing toward the waters of the Black Sea below, after the jet skidded off the runway as it was attempting to land.

    Scary but thankfully all survived. Could have been worse.

    My first thought was, "Boy, they will have a story to tell when they get home!" Then I thought, "Who in their right mind would build an airport runway that close to a cliff?!?!?" I'm still wondering about that one.

    @Shirley Martin
    I suspect the designers of airports leave very little leeway available to cover the very unusual errant "skid-off" of a landing aircraft. But, you're right, as usual! (WillI get any benefits from this revelation?). I would shrink back in terror from having envisioned that runway being thusly built!
