Since retired I have a lot of time to "think" and I thought about this years ago when Barack and Michelle were at the helm. And I'd still very much enjoy their friendship and welcome them in my house and be comfortable. Same goes with Carters. Pretty plain folks who came up in life big time. And who have done a lot of Service to others...and continue to. I feel my best and comfort with those who understand our beginnings. Mine were meager, I've done well ENOUGH, but don't flaunt or squander. I was not raised in the country club set, so those who were have no clue about meager beginnings and how one does their life. Maybe some want to add.
Of those In my lifetime, I think I'd enjoy knowing Harry Truman. Don't remember hardly anything about Bess.

There are quite a few that I would NOT enjoy sitting down with and chatting, we'd have nothing in common.
Since all lawyers and politicians LIE, I'd have to choose which ones I trusted the most to sit down with and have a heart to heart. I listen to a very progressive radio daily and to think of all that "friends" of this current president who are now serving time. Sit down with him, good grief. I'd like to be able to sit down with someone and tell them how much I respect and trust them...
