I was so shocked to hear of Gary’s death. I left a small comment on the online site that the funeral home provided. I know his family will not have a clue as to who I am, but I thought it was important to let them know that he had friends at the site he spent so much time at.

I didn’t always agree with his opinions, but I welcomed his different views on things. I also enjoyed dueling with him in the music thread. He took me back in time with his choices.

I know I along with many will miss him.

Paging through some old un-read posts today, I came across one of Gary's wonderful comments. My heart sank, as I realized I cannot answer him. Because he's gone. Almost had tears over this, a guy I could relate to, a real MAN.

Why? In response to one of his posts, I had used a rather poor choice of wording, I knew it at the time, and thought afterward it might have offended him.

I PM'd him, asking if I had been offensive to him. As a true Viet Nam Vet would have responded:

    "FU*K NO"!

That's all he wrote. I miss his presence dearly........Frank
