I visited good friends here in 2009. He is British and she is American from San Jose, Ca. Their home overlooks their pool and golf course. PORTUGAL RETIREMENT.JPG

Portugal looks beautiful, but Portuguese is a very difficult language for me to wrap my tongue around. Tried to learn a bit a couple years ago so I could exchange a few words with my housecleaners who at the time were from Brazil. Couldn't match the sounds with the "look" of the words.

Portugal, no thanks. Anyway, we live the "good life" here in Colorado and don't have to learn a foreign language.

If you moved to Portugal, you would already know how to speak a foreign language.

No thanks if things go down I'd rather be here than in a foreign country. People are more trible in hard times so we'd be the odd man out, imo.

Exactly what I was going to say... we live "the good life" right here. (Though with so many illegals in TX we English speakers are in the minority already.)
