A champion Australian surf lifesaver who was left a paraplegic from a surfing accident while on holidays has taken her first steps with the aid of a sci-fi-like robotic suit.

Is this major tech breakthru finally the answer to having the paralysed walk again?

 

the advances in this area are just so good now, I do think the paralysed will walk again

 

This is a really nice uplifting story. Too bad countries can't put all their money into inventions like this, instead of ways to protect ourselves.

 

I hope this does lead to successful treatment.
