LINK Roger Moore – Saint, Persuader and the suavest James Bond – dies at 89 The much-loved English actor, who made his name on the small screen before taking on the mantle of 007, has passed away in Switzerland A sweet story in a comments section...... "...............Saw him a few months back in Holland Park. He walked out of a shop with 2 brollies and tried putting them up as it started to rain. He's finally lost it I thought as I watched him whilst sat on my bike. He then went back to the shop door as his wife walked out and handed her the other brolly. Class. RIP..............."
awwww what a sweet story ..and R.I.P Roger Moore.. my husband had the pleasure of working with him on several occasions, and he said he was one of the nicest and funniest men , he had no airs or graces and treated the doorman exactly the same as the King...
I was shocked ,,did not realize he was older than I am.. he always looked younger to me.. no one has really ever replaced him in the movies ,playing his part..May he rest in peace.. Gosh , my cousin Pascal lives in Switzerland too. will have to email him or he will email me soon..
Roger Moore was pretty much "ok" to me as James Bond, but Sean Connery is the real James Bond to me. However, RIP Roger Moore...........you were still a very talented actor.
