It is likely there could have been a second person. Many real snipers use a spotter to help with the targeting. It appears that it was lucky that Trump turned his head when he did, as the head was the likely target and turning his head made it a gazing shot.

That picture looks like it could be a drop of blood or something. There has been no mention of a bullet hole in his jacket.
Hi all, I know I haven't been here for awhile. I hope you are all doing well. I'm just going around some places where I've posted in the past to see what people are saying. It's pretty ugly in some places. IF the reports that the actual shooter has been killed on a rooftop my question is WHY was a rooftop in rifle reach of the stage left uncovered by the Secret Service? I can't help but remind myself which administration is in charge of the Secret Service. I also remind myself that a Democrat candidate was denied Secret Service protection as well. What is the effective range of an AR anyway? 300 yards? Whatever it is it seems the Secret Service could cover it. The BBC has a video of an interview with a young American who was at the rally in the area of these buildings. They are saying that this young man and some others that were with him saw the shooter climbing on top of the building with a rifle in hand. They tried to alert police but they were ignored. I didn't bring a link but it's easy to find on Twitter if anyone is interested. Maybe it's time to make some changes to the Trump rallies. This might not be the last assassination attempt.

A witness interviewed by SkyNews said there were two shooters--one on a water tower and one on a rooftop. She said only one shooter was killed.
