I came across this recent Russell Brand video about Sinead O'Connor whose music I have always liked, I was shocked to learn of her mental health issues and found the relevance to our current world situation interesting...
Sounds like she needs some serious help before she snaps. Hope someone comes to her aid and helps her....before her suicide is announced
Sinead has suffered from quite severe mental health issues for many years. It was heartbreaking to see her post that video from a run down motel room in New Jersey..feeling all alone. However probably due to those very same health issues she had forgotten that she has friends and family who care very much about her, and after she posted that video, they shot into action PDQ..people in the business as well as out and she's now back in hospital being cared for again.... After she posted the first video crying for help... just a few hours later she posted another so much more upbeat knowing and realising that her friends were there to support her..
I'm not surprised she has mental health issues, didn't think it was something new. I think Ive read about it before. I do remember seeing her kind of meltdown I think on SNL when she said something about the Pope. This was probably more than 40 years ago. I didn't watch the video yet though. I just woke up and 8 minutes is too long at this point in my day. Edit: while I was typing I see Holly added a video..will watch both later.
Yes I know she has had mental health issues for a long time, but I hadn't been aware of the latest developments, but then I am not a great follower of the news in general !!
It is sad that all the old psychologists/ psychiatrists are gone replaced by drug pushers who just want to give out drugs like candy not knowing what they do. There was psychiatrist like Milton Erickson who would talk to a person find the problem and allow the person to find an answer this sometimes took time but not fatal like drugs. I was a registered hypnotherapist and a NLP master practitioner. I seen changes in people that was amazing. I have a niece who is one of the nicest person you would ever meet the only problem is she takes on all your problem and makes it hers. I get phone call from her crying trying to give me the problems she has but by the end of the phone call she is laughing and say thank.
She was born in 1966. The SNL/Pope thing was Oct 3, 1992. God bless her heart, she's been ***'d up for a long time. It is sad, but there are some things we don't know how to fix.
Dear Lord, Sinead doesn't seem to be helping herself in the media at all...I really believe she might be beyond long term help tbh... This is her reply to Russell brands' support video http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...nor-sends-explicit-message-Russell-Brand.html
Geez! I think someone who is close to her and someone she'll listen to needs to step in and do something....I don't see it ending well for her.
