I seem to eat the same nighttime snack for a few weeks, then finally tire of it and change to something different. This week I have been having a piece of dark wheat bread spread with honey peanut butter with a cup of coffee. What kind of snacks do you like?
I always have a fudgesicle after dinner. I used to have ice cream, but struggled with portion control. Then I have a couple of cookies. Snacks I have the most often are pistachios and M&M almonds.
We have also a fudgesicle or ice cream. Or some Tates cookies. Trouble is hubby has gained mucho weight so trying to back off on some things.
I don’t always snack before bedtime, but when I do, it just depends on what I am hungry for. I think that my favorite is a fresh apple, sliced, with some cheese. Sometimes, I have the dry-roasted peanuts with sea salt, and occasionally I have tortilla chips. When i want something sweet, I h ave a cup of coffee or tea, and a whole wheat fig bar, or part of a protein bar. We get the fig bars by the box from Sam’s Club, and the protein bars from Amazon, and I always keep some set out for when Bobby or I want a snack, or a light breakfast.
Me, me, me. I'll have buttery popcorn and chocolate of some kind or a bag of potato chips and chocolate of some kind.
The sweet/salty thing is very dangerous. Handful of peanuts, then a handful of chocolate morsels? Been there. Can't quit. That's why Peanut M&M's are not allowed in the house.
Never liked dip with chips before---cheese, salsa, nope. When this lock down thing started I tried a can of jalapeno bean dip with chips, just for the heck of it. It was easy. Now I'm hooked on it.
