The president of South Korea has declared martial law and forbidden all political meetings, including parliament. Following Biden's lead, he had repeatedly promised publicly NOT to do such a thing, but did it anyway when faced with impeachment for abuse of power. Enough members of parliament broke into the blockaded parliament building to make a quorum and voted to lift the martial law order. Reportedly, the troops blockading the parliament stood down after the vote, but the Korean president still controls all the media in the country. The big question is, "Did the U.S. approve this declaration" since we have over 30,000 troops stationed in the country? Is this perhaps a rehearsal for things to come elsewhere? The BBC story is below.
