My usual routine on a Monday morning is setting out the trash for pick up. It was still dark around 7 am so I waited until I saw some inkling of light. I walk our bin around to the alley because it has been stolen a few times or someone filled it up with their trash leaving no room for ours. Of course the devil inside me pulls it out and carries it over to the neighbor whose bin is overflowing and set it there. Anyhoo, temp outside was 29 degrees and I could hear the wind blowing so I bundled up and started out. Whew, it was cold. I hurried around back and did double-timed to get inside. Then I saw this What a glorious sight. The photo doesn't do it justice. Yes, I I bit the dust as the wind hit my face to take pictures of the sunrise. I also had to take off my gloves because the voice activation feature was hindered by the sound of the wind. What a sight to see this morning.

Those old weather sayings are often true. That one has a scientific explanation but I don't remember what it is.
