It's a tv show, so don't know just how much of the story is correct, but The episode is about a missing Saudi Arabia young man and that his sister contacted McCall to help find him. Well, it turns out that the missing young man is gay and in love with another Saudi Arabia young man. He is about to be tortured/killed, until an associate of McCall's saves him. But, in turn for saving him, McCall tells him that he can never return to Saudi Arabia. His mom and dad know he is gay and they turn away from him (disown him) and his sister is told that she can no longer see him. Now, what I'm wondering is, is Saudi Arabia really against gays/lesbians or is this just a tv show script?
Let me google that for you. ____________________________ From Wikipedia: Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) people in Saudi Arabia face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Both male and female same-sex sexual activity is illegal. LGBT rights are not recognized by the government of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has no criminal code and the primary source of law in the country the Islamic Sharia, derived from the Qur'an and the traditions of Muhammad contained in the Sunnah. Homosexuality and being transgender are widely seen as immoral and indecent activities, and the law punishes acts of homosexuality or cross-dressing with fines, public whipping, beatings, chemical castrations,[1] imprisonment up to life, the death penalty(though it has not been applied for homosexuality alone)[5] and torture.[6]
So, in a way, the writers of this episode were telling a real type story in how Saudi Arabia feels about gays. I truly didn't know this.
Will have to research that tv series, but Denzel Washington done two movies called The Equalizer. And, the movies Taken, seem to somewhat go along with The Equalizer, being that these movies are about a retired CIA Operative/Commando. Queen Latifah is superb in the tv show (2020/2021 Season), The Equalizer.
