Good Morning, Everyone! The storms have passed, and the sun is shining through my window. It's beautiful outside, and I haven't even had my coffee yet. I hope everyone had a great weekend, and is ready for a beautiful day!
Good morning, Diane, and all forum users. Hot and humid here today and storms have been coming and going. Typical Florida weather. Took the garbage out, put up a new smoke detector in the hallway and got some things ready to sell online. Wife plays Maj Jong today so Netflix will be on my to do list.
Good Morning, Dave, I was amazed to feel that it's cool outside here. I'm not sure how long that will last, since I'm in Southeast Texas, but it sure is a nice change. It sounds as if you've gotten off to a good start. I have errands to run in a bit, so I'm just relaxing for a few minutes, and drinking my coffee. Are you just signing up with Netflix, or updating something? I had it for years, and plan to re-subscribe soon, whenever I get around to cutting the cable cord.
Good morning to you all. Here in Middle Tennessee, we are having cloudy weather, it's been raining for the past 5 or 6 days - I'm getting a little tired of it, but have been able to get outside for walk in between the rain showers almost every day. Was awoken last night around 3:00 am by these huge thunderbolts, that actually made the house shake. Hopefully, we'll see the sun soon. Got to spend some time with my hubby, which is always nice. Have been online for a couple of hours. Just the usual stuff, nothing too exciting. Hoping to get some quilting in this afternoon, and some drawing tonight.
Mal, I think that storm came through here around the same time. We are in huntsville, AL, so you must be just a ways north of us to get the same storm at the same time. It was cloudy and cold this morning, but sunny outside now (though still chilly) and we have been working outside in the sun. I got the tomato plants out along the fence, and am going to set out the seedling squash and plant some cucumber seeds next. Bobby made me some little trellises for the cucumber plants to grow up on; so I can find and pick them easier than on the ground, and I think they get sun better that way, too. We brought home a couple of those throw-away pallets from the garden store, and I am going to try making one of those vertical gardens and see how well it works.
Yvonne, I looked it up on google maps. It looks like you're almost directly south of Nashville. We're about 100 miles east and a little north of Nashville, so pretty much north of you. We're technically in Middle Tennessee, about halfway between Nashville and Knoxville. My husband is into ham radio and they have a big ham-fest in Huntsville every year. I think he's actually thinking of going this year.
Actually Diane. We've had Netflix for quite some time. I watched a Robert Redfield, 1975, movie called 3 days of the Condor. All in all, was a good day.
I can't complain about the weather...https://www.google.co.th/search?q=w...57.4103j0j8&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8 It's always pleasant around here. Nice to see that so many of us are happy today. @Diane Lane It is already 7 pm but coffee sounds great right now!
I'm Just NE of Houston, and we have had sunshine for two days now. That's two days in a row. Wow!! But, I'll not complain, all I have to do is remember the drought that we had, and hopefully it is over for a few years. I get up between four and five in the mornings, take my coffee out onto my porch, and watch the sun come up. Then I'll spend a couple of hours puttering around my garden. I'll show all of you some pictures if I can ever figure out how two post them. Everytime I try, I get a message that my pictures are too large, yet I can post them everywhere but here. Anyone know why??
Today is much better than yesterday. As I sit here, looking at the window, the sun is shining, the grass is green and the trees are starting to leaf out. The dogwood are starting to bloom, and the redbuds are already blooming profusely. A beautiful day in Tennessee. I think I'll go out for walk - this time of year is always so nice, not too hot, not too cold.
It was slightly cooler than that here today, thankfully, because I've had the A/C off, and windows open. And, I just finished my last cup of coffee, and am moving on to hot tea. Good Evening, Richard and All!
Ina, I had the same issue with my pics, so I resized them to about 30%, and they were o.k. I used Real World Paint, but if you don't have a program, you can just search on jpg (or whichever form your pics are in) resizer, and you often won't even have to download a program.
