The other morning when I was there the manager, Val was saying that our Christmas luncheon at some country club might not be possible this year and they have to look for a new place....the reason isn't important to the story and I hate to write. Anyway, since I wasn't at last years party or even knew about it I asked and then the ladies told me how fun it is etc...secret Santa $10. Then Val told the story of how she cried because at the time she needed $2,000 worth of dental care and she's not a citizen yet (South African). And she just works at Curves so didn't have the money she needed. Then at the party the women (about 30) handed her an envelope with a check for $2,000! Wow, that is so generous and thoughtful ...wonderful ladies. Most I think are on the wealthier side but there are poor ones too like me...so I guess people gave what they could afford to someone they barely really know etc. Just wanted to tell this story....
That really is wonderful for those ladies at Curves to have done for Val. It's good to hear stories like this and I'm glad you shared it with us.
I base wealth on health.... and though i have lost some of me wealth... still one of the wealthiest people in my circle of people.
